We at The Way Ahead recognise that driving and road transport has a significant environmental impact. It is our policy to deliver our services and use our equipment in such a way as to have the least environmental impact as possible. It is also our aim to pass on our expertise in this field to all of our customers.

We are committed to:

• Reducing energy consumption by using vehicles and equipment as efficiently as is possible, both by optimising efficiency when in use, and by avoiding use completely when practical.

• Reducing our use of resources by maximising recycling of vehicles, equipment and other materials surplus to requirement.

• Complying with all environmental legislation as it applies to our business activities.

• Educating and motivating our staff to help us implement our environmental policy.

• Making the adoption of more environmentally compatible driving practices and workplace transport policy a major part of the training and advice given, being prioritised only by improving road safety.

• Reviewing our environmental policy on a regular basis in order to ensure that it remains relevant.

Scope

The Way Ahead School of Motoring Limited is an Isle of Wight based driving school, and in the execution of our work we provide practical and classroom-based driver training combined with relevant documentation. Our Environmental Policy applies to all of our training, transport and office-based activities.
