THE WAY AHEAD School of Motoring was officially launched on 1st May 1998 by directors Steve Cocks, Phil Edmonds and Paul Hayes all highly qualified, highly motivated instructors. After huge investment into its website, training vehicles and teaching methods, the school now boasts over 10 instructors. To ensure standards
improve continuously all instructors are trained and monitored in house.

From day one our aim has been to provide the highest possible standard of driving tuition coupled with a customer service which is second to none. We feel we are achieving these aims, not just because of the enthusiasm and experience of all of us at The Way Ahead, but, also from the number of times we are recommended by existing and past clients.

At a time when many positions of trust are found lacking The Way Ahead has taken steps to install confidence to parents and clients alike. In what is thought to be a first for a driving school all of the instructors working under The Way Ahead banner have now been put through a “full” Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. This measure
ensures that nobody at The Way Ahead has a hidden past, especially important
when working with youngsters.

Steve Cocks, director, says “we can start teaching pupils at the age of 16 with
our Hedadstart programme. Having the CRB done gives parents that extra little bit of confidence”
